Jockie Loomer-Kruger, Local Artist and Author
Jockie will be speaking about her life travels that continue to take her on wonderful, creative adventures. She will read from her memoir book she wrote and illustrated to celebrate turning 80, and display some of the original paintings and 
present a short slide show of other folk art she has created.
Jockie grew up in Nova Scotia where she attended Acadia University, taught nursery school, was a dental receptionist and a florist. In retirement she and her husband ran an antiques and collectible shop from their home. Writing and painting has always been a passion for Jockie. Now widowed, she continues to pursue her creative lifestyle.
