Marg Perchaluk retired in 2008 after 31 years teaching Phys Ed at Mt Forest DHS. Since then she has celebrated the beginning of every school year by volunteering at the Toronto International Film Festival and watching as many TIFF films as she can fit into the 11-day festival. This past September she managed to watch 42 films!
Her enthusiasm for volunteering, as well as filmwatching, certainly explains the wild facial expression in her accompanying photo! Marg also volunteers for TIFF Kids, as well as local amateur theatre, including Guelph Little Theatre. She has been Stage Manager for productions of Calendar Girls, Noises Off, and Godspell. From 1997-2010, Marg sang and volunteered with the Rainbow Chorus of Waterloo/Wellington performing in Guelph, as well as Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, and New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
Her love of travel and adventure have taken her to Kenya and India with Free the Children/Me to We volunteer trips. Marg will give us a volunteer perspective of TIFF.
